Heartsjoy tagged me to tell six random things about myself. So, here goes...
1. I wanted a red-headed child but they're all blond as sunlight. (Well, at least my husband is still red-headed.)
2. I'm a germ-a-phobe. I don't care if I know you and love you, I'm still NOT going to drink after you (unless I'm dying of thirst since dying of germs would be irrelevant at that point).
3. My mom and my sister, being true extroverts, taught me how to greet people and small-talk with the best of them. But deep at heart, I'm an introvert.
4. A pet peeve of mine is when someone is pretending to listen while they glance about the room. LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!
5. I get estatic about graph paper. I LOVE to graph stuff like rooms of the house and change the furniture around on paper.
6. I still bite my nails even though I'm trying to stop.
Okay, now I'm going to tag anyone reading this blog that would like to play this game. You're it!

What is it with you introverts who bite your nails?? My Abbey has bitten hers off to the quick. I told her if she would stop, I'd pay for a professional manicure in time for John's wedding... She WANTS the manicure, but can't stop nibbling. I think I need a word from Tori.
Dear Tori, (If you're reading this)
What can I do for people like your sister and my daughter???
Help!
Frustrated Mom
Sis, I loved reading this!! LOL, you and graph paper! I totally agree with the glancing around the room phenomenon. LOOK AT ME!! LOL
Dear Frustrated Mom,
Pray my friend, pray. ;) Then tell them they will have to eat goat cheese with every nibble.
love,
Tori
I wanted brown-eyed babies. With red hair would have been AWESOME, too! :-)
I am a red-head and my firstborn is a red-head. When boy #2 came along, I thought for sure he would be as well, but NO! He is his daddy - blond with blue eyes! I wouldn't have it any other way!
I enjoy reading your blog! You are so real. I just got back from checking out your parents' blog and saw your pics with your kids! I've known your sis for a long time and have only met you once a very long time ago. It is still so bizarre to look at your picture and see your sister! Getting to know only one twin and then meeting the other can really mess you up! Your look is just different enough to tell you apart, but it is still surprising! I have a picture of you, your sis and I from the mid 90's (before kids). I'll have to find it and post it so we can all get a laugh and remember what we used to look like!
Okay, let's clear some things up.
First of all, you still can have a red-headed child - and you do need another for that fourth chair at Cair Paravel, right? There's even this little guarentee that involves eating mexican food and standing on your head... but that's another blog post.
And just 'cause I look around the room doesn't mean I'm not listening. The problem is I'm always being followed. They're everywhere. So, when we're all at Wendy's having lunch, I just have to keep an eye out for their little hidden mics, and cameras.
THE HUSBAND says,
My six random things are:
1. Drinking cows milk in the evening causes me to wake up in the morning with a hang-over.
2. Like LL, I learned social skills from my politician of a father who is off-the-chart extroverted and it helps me as a pastor, but, I am an introvert and prefer to be alone.
3. I have seen the movie "Gettysburg" about 25 times and it still always ends the same way everytime.
4. I officiated the funeral for the actress who played Moses' mother in the movie "The Ten Commandments."
5. My beautiful wife was my first and only kiss.
6. I took Literature Lover to my senior prom. :) How many years ago was that? Man, we're all getting old.
TOFTG - I think the nailbiting thing is just coping with all these talkative extroverts in our lives. Laughing (Just kidding)
Warmhearts - No need to be sorry. I love my introvertedness. I embrace it! :)
JoyfulJourney - You're right I think that people who know just one of us are more freaked out when they meet "the twin". L I would love to see that picture from the 90's.
Kyle - First of all, NO, there is not going to be a red-headed little one (unless God really changes our mind - never say never). Secondly, I think you're on to something with that conspiracy theory. ;)
Spencer - I enjoyed reading your six random things. Boy, we ARE getting old, aren't we?
